Skincare Review – Arbonne Skincare For Oily and Combination Skin Review

Arbonne Skincare Beauty Review

Arbonne skincare product review is here! Is this Swiss skin care brand could be one of those good things for our skin? I hope this review will help you.

Have you heard of the saying: “Good things comes in small packages”? Find out why:

What is Arbonne Skincare and what it claimed?

Arbonne is a Swiss ultra-premium brand and the products are botanically based, Vegan Certified, pH correct, Hypoallergenic, Dermatologist Tested, Certified Gluten-Free, Kosher Certified, Drug Free and Cruelty-Free. We have no hidden nasties in our products.

Sounds good, right?

I have a self confess love for skin care products and I am game to do a try out. So when Maimie approached me on Twitter and asked if I would like to do a collaboration with her, do trial and write review of Arbonne skin care products, of course I said, Yes!

To give you a little background about my skin type (this was confusing to me too, believe me).

I get oily on my t-zone areas and dry patches on the sides of the nose. When Maimie asked me my skin type, I said to her that it was a combination skin type (oily and dry). She gave me the list of how to determine skin types so she can send me the right products to try and after I said to her “Okay, I have oily skin”, we then agreed and she sent me the sample skin care products by post.

Here’s what I got:

•Arbonne FC5 Purifying Cleanser + Toner (3ml)
•Arbonne FC5 Oil-Absorbing Day Lotion with SPF 20 (3ml)
•A very nice “Thank you card” gesture
•Maime Yelland’s business card
•She also emailed me the product pdf brochure for reference.

I was delighted when I got the package on my doorstep the other day. But was surprised to see small size sample tubes inside the envelope. I was hesitant to ask her (silly me really!) on how is this going to help me write an honest review? I opted out to sending this to her and just go with the flow. “Make the most of what I got.”

How I used the products?

•Arbonne FC5 Purifying Cleanser + Toner (3ml)
On a wet face, I squeezed two pea sized amount of the clear gel formulation on my finger and dot it on my face and lather. My findings:

– Non-soapy and non foamy formulation but can easily lather on the face in no sweat!
– It has a fresh zingy, zesty, citrusy lemon scent which is totally bearable and smells amazing!
– Washed off easily.
– Skin feels squeaky clean after.

•Arbonne FC5 Oil-Absorbing Day Lotion with SPF 20 (3ml)
After I pat dry my face, I squeezed two pea sized amount of this formulation on my finger and dot it around my face again and massage it on. My findings:

– Dries up quickly
– Very lightweight feel
– Again, I fell in love with it’s lemon citrusy scent. It smells lovely!
– Skin feels powder silky finish after application.

I may be speaking too soon, but after three days of using it twice a day, (I think I can still do with a few more washes. And yes it is that super formulated), I can see my face looking and feeling matte but not dull and dry all day. It looked fresh! It is non iritating on the skin and it’s all natural products so all good things! I particularly like the cleanser + toner idea. Such a nifty!

Would I recommend it?
It is worth a look! I wish to try the bigger size tube of the cleanser + toner so I could see the effect in a more extensive trial and see if the result remains the same.

This small and mighty skin care products are sold in big sizes and prices range from mid to high end. If you want to know more, check out Arbonne Skin Care products website.

On a little side note, in case you are interested in these products and want to know the right one for your skin type, this is what Maimie has sent me. I hope this helps you too:

Ways To Determine Your Skin Type

Oily skin produces an excessive amount of oil all over the face every day, all day long. The skin looks shiny due to the presence of an oily film. It also looks coarse and rough in texture. Blackheads and blemishes may be present. Pores generally look enlarged.

This skin type is like having two different skin types on the same face. Combination skin generally experiences an oily skin type in the T-zone and a dry skin type on the cheeks. Thus, both areas of oiliness and dryness are present every day, all year long. The skin looks shiny in the T-zone due to the presence of an oily film. It also looks dry and matte on the cheeks. Blackheads and blemishes may be present, especially in the oilier T-zone area. Pores generally look enlarged on the nose, forehead and chin.

Sensitive Skin

Sensitive skin should not be overstimulated. Products gentle enough for a baby’s skin will help pamper sensitive skin.

I am not affiliated nor sponsored by Arbonne. I was kindly sent their sample products to try out and review only.
