I have to admit, doing my makeup base every day is a little tedious routine sometimes. From prepping skin to putting on a colour corrector, then foundation, followed by a concealer and lastly, either use a powder to set or a makeup setting spray. Overall, it is a lot to do and a lot to put on my face.
I wish that there is one product I can use that will do all the above in one go. So when I saw that this Bourjois 123 Perfect Foundation covers a lot of things in one bottle, I know I need to give it a try.
The Bourjois 123 Perfect Foundation is not a new product release anymore but it certainly is to me. Here’s my quick review and first impression:
What makes Bourjois 123 Perfect Foundation better than the rest?
It claims: “Bourjois 1.2.3. Perfect Foundation gives a flawless even complexion* for 16hrs, thanks to a new generation formula. It has 3 correcting pigments for zero imperfections. 24hr hydration and anti-shine with SPF 10. Medium coverage, yet lets skin breathe Soft and smooth formula for a second skin finish.” (Source: Boots)
First time I tried it, I did two pumps and I used a damp beauty sponge. The consistency is a little thick but it was easy to spread on the skin and blend. Coverage is medium but I find that two pumps makes a full coverage on my skin. It dries up smooth feel on the skin, covered my blemishes, hides redness on the sides of my nose, and concealed dark circle under my eyes.
As the day goes by, I can see that it settled a little powdery and patchy on the skin. It also sat on the lines on my face, and wherever I have dry skin became more visible. I didn’t put powder anymore because like I said, it settled a little too powdery on the surface already. I still get shines on my t-zone area which is normal for me. But it wasn’t that bad at all. In fact, I like the dewy and glowing effect instead of having it fully matte.
Bourjois 123 Perfect Foundation Review and Impression
I kept wiping my face with a tissue and soften those patchy areas as the day goes by. The foundation got washed out on me and it didn’t stay on throughout the day, and I was feeling uncomfortable. It looked like I had put a lot on my face and it doesn’t show as a natural skin anymore.
The second time, I tried it on again but I put less quantity. And alas! One pump is all I ever need! It set seamlessly and a lot better when I used a kabuki brush. It still feel smooth on the surface but it look a lot better too. One pump gives a more natural base on my skin compared to using two pumps.
I believe this will suit those who have combination skin but not so much for those with drier skin.
Beauty Review – Drugstore Bourjois 123 Perfect Foundation
I love Bourjois brand and I am a massive fan of their Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Foundation. In fact, I have used it and re-purchasing one bottle after the other for many months now. I never get tired of it but I thought it is time I make a change and try something else. So now that I know how best I can work this foundation on my skin, I am now happy with Bourjois 123 Perfect Foundation. I can say that I can definitely used it all up without a second thought!
