Skincare – Epaderm Cream For Dry Skin Conditions, Eczema and Psoriasis

epaderm cream for dry skin conditions, eczema and psoriasis review

The cause of having hard water supply in the house has taken its toll on us. I was experiencing super dry skin all over my body lately. Initially I thought it has something to do with my hay fever. So I went to the doctor and requested for a different hay fever medicine to take. It worked on my allergy but my skin is still disturbingly dry.

As for my husband, he suffered skin eczema when he was younger. As he mature, his eczema has calmed down, but not until recently. It came back and it is becoming a worrisome for him.

If you must know: “Hard water has minerals; specifically, calcium, magnesium, and iron, which can dry your skin. Minerals drying on the skin can clog pores and cause flaking and itching. Hard water also tends to react with soap to form salts, which can also stay on the skin.” (Source: Pbwateringsoftening)

We’ve tried several heavy-duty lotions, ointments, body butter, bath oils and even in-shower lotions to remedy the issue. They all worked for a short time which is very odd because this has never happened before. Then I saw the commercial of Epaderm on TV and I hesitated no more. I went to Boots the next day and bought the 500g of Epaderm Cream for £12.49.

What makes Epaderm Cream better than the rest For Dry Skin Conditions, Eczema and Psoriasis?

It claims: “Improved skin hydration in 2 weeks. Dry Skin. Eczema. Psoriasis. Fragrance, colouring and SLS (Sodium Lauryl Sulphate) free. Suitable for all ages including babies.” (Source: Epaderm site)

It is a thick cream to begin with but feels light weight on the skin when applied. A little greasy to touch for a while but nothing like icky greasy feel at all. It also absorb deeply in the skin which I find comfortable to apply several times a day.

It is super emollient that make my skin even softer than baby’s skin. And my husband’s eczema has calmed down in an instant. HA! Who doesn’t like that? I can feel and see the effect on my dry skin just on first application. Although, my husband will joke me at night and say I smell like hospital. But I didn’t mind at all as long as my skin is happy, I will stay happy!

We also bought a travel size Epaderm 50g at £3.49 and carry in our every day bag. Our skin feels supple, healthy looking and skin worry free!
